For over 140 years, Tollcross YMCA has provided recreational facilities within a safe environment that promotes educational and social activities for the people of Tollcross and Glasgow's east end. The volunteer Board of Management meet on the first Friday of every month and develop all programme activity in response to local needs through it's youth work staff, partners, young people and volunteers.

Tollcross YMCA aims to promote citizenship and develop community spirit by encouraging people to consider their environment and develop activities that support people to reach their potential, by overcoming barriers that would normally exclude them, resulting in a more connected and resilient community.

  • To fulfill its Christian mission by bringing peace, justice and hope to broken lives.
  • To respond effectively to the needs of the most vulnerable children, young people and families.
  • To invest in Scotland's young people helping them to realise their fullest potential.
  • To strengthen families at the heart of local communities.
  • To work closely with parents and partner organisations.


The YMCA is one of the oldest and largest Movements for youth in the world. Founded in 1844, it now operates in 119 countries, and reaching  58 million people. With 32 associations in Scotland.  Check out this video about the work delivered by Tollcross YMCA in your community. 



Are you stuck at home bored with no money to have fun with your friends or being asked to move on from where you are for being loud ? Then come to our Junior and Senior youth drop in's every Saturday.  It's free and you and your mates can play pool/snooker, record music in our studio or have a gaming tournament on out PS4/Xbox one, theirs table tennis, movie nights and arts n crafts, check out the video for more details.
